​Same-Sex Wedding Dress Alterations - Case Study 
Holly and Sally ​



​Holly wore a lace-embellished body suit, ivory wide-legged trousers, and a detachable train. Significant work was required on the bodice to lift the shoulders and take in the side seams, and bust and back darts were fitted. We also had to hem the trousers and attach poppers to the train to create the finished look, which helped Holly feel comfortable and confident while looking fantastic.

​Sally's dress required a remake service as it had to be taken down three sizes. This involved redesigning the bodice section, shortening it, and taking it in to create the perfect tailored fit. Next, the skirt section was altered to fit the new bodice and hemmed. The off-cuts of the hems were used to create the detachable straps. The result was a perfect-fitting wedding dress that looked like it had been made for her.

​LGBTQ+ Alterations - Case Study
​ Kate and Laura


​Our client from this lovely couple was Kate, who can be seen in the images wearing a lace bodysuit with ivory wide-legged trousers. 

These alterations required the majority of the lace to be removed from the bodysuit, starting from the shoulders, bust, and side seams. The garment was then tailored to fit and hand-finished, adding new boning and rebeading. 
​

​The original tulle train was also redesigned and was detachable from the trousers. Furthermore, Kate wanted to use the Pink Couture bespoke glitter service. This involved using specialist glue, hand-applying the glitter, and sealing it. The outcome was an extra special and unique finish that the bride loved. As you can see from the wedding pictures, Kate looked absolutely amazing on her big day; it was lovely to see how confident and happy she was.
